Founded in 1947, we are still operated by the same family.
Did you know that in Maryland, as well as half the other states, a person does not have to be licensed or credentialed in any way to fill prescriptions for eyeglasses or contact lenses? (However, in order to cut someone’s hair or fingernails, a license IS required.)
Though not required, our Opticians are certified by the American Board of Opticianry, and average 20 years of experience which is a tremendous advantage to our customers.
Repairs
We can often mend your broken frames, or we will try to track down parts for them. If all else fails, we’ll try to find a similarly shaped frame into which your existing lenses will fit.
Not all eyeglasses are the same. As always, there are frames and lenses on the market at very low prices, and eyeglasses that resemble the real thing. Your wearing comfort and your visual comfort will soon tell you the mistake you’ve made. This is not an area where you want to economize.
Some of our frames are made from incredibly light, yet strong materials. We carry styles that are contemporary, sporty, have an air of elegance, and others that virtually disappear on your face. You would have to see some of them to believe it.
